Ajit Radakrishnan
Senior Specialist, World Bank
Ajith Radhakrishnan is a Senior Specialist at the World Bank and the India Country Lead for its Multi Donor Trust Fund, 2030 Water Resources Group [2030 WRG]. He has led the design and implementation of the successful UP Accelerator Program for WRG and coordinates program development and expansion in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
At the World Bank, he leads a portfolio that includes advising several governments design and finance innovative development programs including climate-smart agriculture, high-efficiency irrigation systems, market-based water credits, and development of digital MRV for voluntary carbon markets. Ajith serves as a global focal point for the World Bank’s Global Solutions Group on Low-emission Rice and the Farmer-led Irrigation Development (FLID). He is a core-team member in the NextGen Rice Academy of the Agriculture and Food and Water Portfolios of the World Bank.
In his earlier roles, Ajith has worked for the CGIAR, Asian Development Bank, in Manila and the Global Green Growth Institute as a Senior Advisor on Climate Adaptation.
Ajith holds master’s degrees in public administration (MPA) from Columbia University, New York as a Fulbright Fellow and in Agricultural Management from the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), India.
