Commodity Strategy Director & Soy Commodity Lead, Preferred by Nature

Ariel leads Preferred by Nature’s Commodity Strategy, including rice, and directs its global soy strategy. Based in Spain, he collaborates with multiple certification schemes, including the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP), the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), and Rainforest Alliance, while maintaining strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders worldwide. With over 21 years of experience across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, Ariel has worked with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), and various tourism standards. He holds a degree in Agronomic Engineering and specialised in rice production at UNNE, the National University of the Northeast in Argentina.
