Jérémie de Charentenay

Head of Asia, Livelihoods Venture Thailand

Jérémie de Charentenay has over 15 years of experience in sustainable finance, impact investing, and nature-based solutions, working at the intersection of social and environmental impact. 

At Livelihoods, he has been actively involved in developing the Livelihoods fund for Family farming (a €36m initiative funded by Danone, Mars and DSM-Firmenich & dedicated to smallholder farmers). A head of southeast Asia, he leads Livelihoods work regionally. He works on carbon credits and sustainable sourcing initiatives dedicated to mission-driven enterprises. He is experienced in supporting organizations in designing and executing their sustainable sourcing startegies. He has contributed to international initiatives that connect capital, markets, and systemic transformation. His career bridges strategic vision and operational execution — from structuring innovative financing mechanisms and building multi-stakeholder partnerships to building lasting impact with farmers.  

Driven by the conviction that social & environmental impacts are deeply linked and that the time for action is now, Jérémie is focused on combining values and action.  

As a member of the Livelihoods Venture board, he contributes: 

  • a strategic perspective to scale and sustain impactful business models, 
  • practical experience in managing large-scale initiatives to restore ecosystems & empower communities, 
  • a collaborative mindset to engage project developers, brands, investors, and communities in creating meaningful, sustainable value.
